The design concept and approach were influenced by the site constraints, optimum building orientation, accommodation requirements and the clinical functionality of the hospital. The character and design of the building is simple and pure, yet modern with a play between tectonic and stereotomic structures. The building envelope and layout is patient friendly and relates to human scale, accommodating for the masses and catering for the individual. This approach is aimed to elevate patient and staff satisfaction. This building will express an appearance and modulation that is urban in its solution yet rural in its approach, an event that would enhance its immediate and wider environment. The design elements are simple to construct and pure in form, that will impart a lasting impact on the community and visitors.
