ZITHULELE HOSPITAL
ZITHULELE, EASTERN CAPE
- PROJECT COMPLETION
2019 – current - PROJECT VALUE
R 706 million
The primary aim and objective of this project relate to the development of a new 157 (217) bed district hospital by means of selectively repurposing existing infrastructure whilst densifying the clinical core of the facility.
The new facility will include supporting services and staff accommodation and will operate as a health care facility in the rural locale of the village of Zithulele, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa.
The project responds to current requirements of health care service delivery as set out in the briefing document. In addition to considerations of public facilities within communities, the design proposition also responds sensitively towards the locale.
