The completed Zola – Jabulani District Hospital was built with the purpose of alleviating pressure from the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital by providing services to the north and western communities in Soweto which include Dobsonville, Emndeni, Meadowlands, Moletsane, Mofolo, Zola, Naledi, Tladi, Jabulani, Bram Fischerville and Protea. The Zola Jabulani district hospital has been capacitated with more than 300 beds.

The new hospital provides maternity services, radiology, gynaecology, obstetrics, post-natal and also offers out patient departments.
